Newbie question.... 1098

I decided to test the crash-ability of it....based on the result neither the bike nor the rider are actually made for it...

On a more serious (but still embarrassing) note...a corner was coming out of nowhere (directly behind a small hill, 90 degrees bend, sign were all hit to the ground by previous motorcycle/car crashes)...hit the brakes a little too hard....front wheel blocked while leaning already....low-sided....slid across the street into the grass...bike totaled after 175 miles...

Aahhh the do it yourself streetfighter look.. with the 2 little 50w di-chromic lights in the motoX bib..

Kinda looks like he needed more boxing lessons though..

glad you're happyu with the new one..

Wow, at least you're doing alright? I see you've picked up the 848. Did you get like that, all red or changed the original black belly pan to red?

I am okay....separated my right shoulder and got some road-rash on my knee....got lucky compared to the other guys before me according to the cops.

I swapped out the black front fender and belly pan with the red ones....I like a clean look....and yes...I will get it like this....ordered everything when I bought the bike...and two more days...it will be in my garage...

I hope it will survive longer than the yellow one though...

Kind of both I guess...first thing was that they now have the 1198 which does not come in yellow. Second thing is that I hardly use neither the power nor the obsessive braking power on the street. Third point is that I always thought that the three-quart-of-a-liter class is the perfect bike for the street. Other than that...I guess the following summarizes it pretty much...

Yellow is the only reason I got 1098 base. I like the 1098S more because of wheels and Ohlins, but I realized the Showa is more comfortable for me after all. I am almost done modding mine yellow 1098, and I think it is one of the best looking 1098 around my area.
