i posted in the grabit section EDU, with no responses. I figure ill get some here. When i donwload with grab it it downloads into like 50 text files into a folder and it says they are all 0kb.. What am i doing wrong?
 
In GrabIt when an article is not available it grabs empty text files. And article cannot not be found when its beyond the retention of the service your using. This usually happens due to using a crap service which is all some ISP provide. If this is the case you may have to consider a payserver if you want to access Usenet service...
 
Try using a different port (newshosting allows connections at different ports, check their faq for more info).. Make sure grabit is making 8 connections (if already 8 you can try less to see if speeds increase).. Make sure you opened your port on router (if you have one). :)

Simply saying YES, would be an understatement! Usenet access is the fastest way, and probably the best way for a leecher, as it doesn't require any uploading on your part.
 
yeah i havent changed anything i have ports open and im using 8 connections :D


this might sound weird but i changed my upload from uncapped in utorrent to capped at 40kbps and they sky rocketed instantly to 550 +

this is incredible are all of them this fast?
 
if you sign up for the whole year term it averages out to like $13 a month :P

Newsgroups are fast, yes... Usually you will max out your connection.. Get used to it. :P

okay well i signed up but when i dl it seems like its almost capped at like 150kbps on anything i dl lol...

ps what are some good News group sites.. are there sites? lol
 
Using newsgroups and bittorent at the same time makes little sense.Newsgroups is all download,trying to upload with BT at the same time is like pushing a canoe sideways up a river lol..That upload will really hurt your download...
