newb,bike cuts out

hey all, newbie here i have a 97 gsxr 750 ,i can ride for a little while then my bike just quits,im lost on why it keeps happening.i let it sit for about 20 mins and then its ok ,anyone with help or suggestions would be much appreciated in advanced thanks ,ken

Could also be a vacume developing in the gas tank because of a plugged tank vent.....or a plugged fuel filter, if it has one.

Or it could be vapor lock from an improperly routed fuel line. Could be a lot of things...could you be more specific? Does it do it more on hot days? Does it always run for the same length of time? Does it die quicker at higher speeds? Does it still die if you just sit and let it idle? When it does, what exactly are the symptoms? Does everything die, or just the motor? Will it crank but not start? Will it not crank? The more infoprmation you give, the closer we can get you to a cause.
