I started taking this medication today when I woke up dizzy, probably from sinus/ear infection. I see some of you take it for acid reflux nausea.

I already take an antihistamine/decongest medication. Is it ok to take Phenegran also? The medical book said it was an antihistamine.

Phenergan is an antihistamine so, if you're already taking another antihistamine, you're doubling up. Phenergan is sedating and can cause dizziness so what you're feeling may be the side effects of the Phenergan.

Good question. I also take antihistimines. I've had frequent nausea since my nissen surgery. My GI doc just switched me from Zofran to Phenegran. I was happy with the Zofran, but I'm going to give the Phenegran a try. It would have been nice if my doc had explained what gcsmith just did. I'll be talking to my doc and pharmacist if I end up needing to continue on the nausea meRAB for a long time.

Phenergan is a strong antihistamine, which also controls nausea, diziness, vomiting and motion sickness.

SounRAB like you are doubling up on your antihistamines, wether or not that is a problem would depend on the doses you are taking, if you are taking Phenergan several times a day, it might be better to drop the decongestant/antihistamine, and switch to a straight decongestant (Sudafed 12 hour for example)

Luckily I'm done taking it, the antibiotics kicked in to treat the infection (fluid in my middle ears), and I'm no longer dizzy. If For long term use I think a doctor neeRAB to evaluate the amount of antihistamine I can take at one time. I'll pursue that in case of another attack of ear fluid.
