New to Nextel

Well, I am new to nextel and was wondering if someone could perhaps point me in the direction of how to go about putting ringtones on my phone. This has probably been asked 50,000 times so I apoligize if I am being repetitive. I am not familar with much about nextel. Also, I know I need the data cable, but the software I need im unfamilair with. Do I need anything else besides webjal? Would their be a place I could go where I could get a walkthrough on this matter? I am a novice when it comes to this and any assitance would be greatly appreciated. This is what I have

I730 T
Webjal, ( the version I have is for an older I730, so it may need to be updated to work. Is that possible? Do they make updates for the I730 T?

I can honestly say by reading and posting very briefly on these forums, I have recieved more information then nextel customer support and tech support has given me for about 2 weeks.
 
well first off customer support is not in business to make you phone have pretty wallpaper and nice ringtones. they are there to answer questions if the function of the phone stops working. That is what these site have been created for. that being said, webjal is the only program you need to upload wallpaper, ringtones and games to you phone. the webjal version you have should work fine for your i730 T. I have that same phone and I have no trouble. just connect your phone, go to the ringtone button on the left and press add, find you ringtone, then press download. that is all it takes.
 
Did you read my thread entitled trouble with nextel web? Well, there u will see that nextel customer support cannot HELP me with their own services. That is what I meant. I could careless if they knew about ringers and wallpapers. I do however wish they knew more about a service they are charging me for that is NOT working. Thanks for the reply,


By the way, the version of webjal I have gives me an error when I try to use it with my i730 t. It says the version of software my phone has is not right or something. Any idea how I can fix that? Is this a prob wit my phone or webjal?
