I am 66 yrs and just have been diagnosed with asthma (non smoker). My main complaint is shortness of breath on any exertion. I do not wheeze of have attacks. I do have problems breathing. Due to scoliosis I only have 70% of lung capacity . I have several other health issues and thought the breathing could be one of them. I am on a Syrabicort inhaler twice daily. I have tried methyiprednisolone and it's not to friendly to me. My pulmonologist said it is from 2nd hand smoke. Does this sound like asthma to you?

Certainly sounRAB possible. One does not have to wheeze to have asthma. And "shortness of breath on any exertion" is a definition of an attack. Hope the inhaler works for you.
