New to Android

So I just recently made the switch this weekend from winmo 6.5 on a htc hd2 to a sidekick 4g.. I like it so far.

T-Mobile is giving me 2 weeks to test out the sidekick 4g because I wasn't sure on whether to get the sk4 or the g2. Now, you're all probably like "get the g2 wtf" but I'm new to android and coming from a horrible phone like the hd2 I desperately needed a keyboard. I have had 3 sidekicks in the past, and I was in like with the keyboard so that's why I was so quick to get the sk4.

My concern is should I stay with it? The only reasons I see to get the g2 are:
-5mp camera with flash
-pure android
-seems to be generally faster.

I installed the task killer and i constantly kill apps, the most I've ever gotten for free memory was 165m. I downloaded quadrant benchmark and the highest score I ever got was 944.


is the g2 fast? If I'm going to be stuck with a phone for 2 years I want to make it one that is reliable and fast. My hd2 CONSTANTLY froze and had to do factory resets weekly and take out the battery daily.

Yeah the G2 is legit. I've had it since launch. TMO discontinued it or something. It's End of Life is coming soon. I still like the phone, the slide out screen can be a bit wobbly at times and having four rows of keys was a bit odd coming from the G1. But I like it, really no issues with it.
 
1st off UNINSTALL ALL your task killers. You DONT need them.
2nd stick the SK, its one of the way better phones for tmo. Only other id go for is the Sensation that was just released.
3rd physical keyboard beats virtual any day. (unless u have no choice becuase u want a specific phone)
4th the g2 is done...tmo is going to end it...if you want it hope there is a store or somewhere i with overstocks left.
5th there will be updates comming that will iron out some of the kinks with the SK. I would recommed sticking it out.
