Because of my allergies?

The last few weeks i have felt terrible, i generally dont feel all the well. But i went to the doc to get some test done. She did all the blood work, xrays, etc. And sent me to an allergist. Well, the allergist did the poke and scrape me test. I scored 4's (0 to 4) on several things, weeRAB, trees, molRAB, dust mites. 3's for dog. And 2's for cats and cockroaches.

THese are the symptoms i have had for years:
Fatigue, rarely breath thru my nose, mild sinus pressure

The last few weeks i have had:
extreme fatigue, sinus headaches, congestion, feeling of a mild fever, and a mild burning in my chest. a over all general feeling of wanting to craw into bed and never get out again.

I started taking allegra and nasonex a few days ago. That has cleared out my congestion but doesnt seem to do much else. I also plan to start the allergy shots next week.

This is all very amazing to me. I went golfing yesterday, started out feeling ok. But the sun came out and the wind kicked up.. I have felt terrible since, 24 hours alter and i still feel horrible. I almost feel like i have the flu, but i know better. I am sure the problems i have had over the last few years are because of these undiagnosed allergies. I get sick so easy and always end up with sinus infections...

Is this normal? All these symptoms? I rarely sneeze or cough, but this other stuff is wearing me out.

Going to buy a neti pot today. I bought some hepa air purifiers for the house. Any other ideas you could sahre with me? How long am i going to feel this poor?

Thanks for you time and for those of you who have been dealing with this for years and years.. wow

This NAET has to do with clearing your meridians, which are all botched up due to your allergies. Your body is totally off balance due to them.

All your symptoms sound very allergy related and I urge you to start your injections as soon as you can. It will take a while before you feel 100%, but those injections are worth their weight in gold. I was on them for a nuraber of years and then moved. The new allergist told me I had a different type of allergy, so took me off my injections. Before I knew it, I was walking like the city drunk, had no energy and could not think straight. Finally, I went back to the original man only to find out that the man who treated me the second time, misdiagnosed me. He has cost me over two years of my life. I am back on my injections and feeling much more like myself. It will not take you any two years to get well. I think once you start your injections, you will feel some relief, but don't forget, those injections have to be worked up before you reach the maintenance level. Hang in there, you are going in the right direction.

Allergies can be VERY frustrating, but your injections will help you.

I forgot to tell you, that I hardy sneeze, which is what you mentioned in your note. So, you don't have to sneeze to have allergies!!!

Thanks danabarb. The shots are ordered, i should be able to start the end of this week or beginning of the next.

I have similar symptoms except I actually fall unconscious. Undoubtedly the cause is allergens such as pollen and mould.Get a very good air purifier and at least you will be ok if indoors and perhqps sleeping in a air purified room will help you.it helps me

Wow.. that sounRAB just like me.. For years i would end up going to my doc for blood tests and xrays or anything else they might find that might explain the fatigue, feeling like i had a fever, burning chest. Until finally they sent me to get tested for allergies. I tested 4's for several things, pollen of course.

I have been taking allergy shots for a year, with ZERO changes, it doesnt work for everyone I guess. But I have tried golfing the last few days and I am just dead to the world. So tired i can barely move and i feel like i have a fever, but i dont.

Doc gave me allegra and nasonex last year. Neither has done anything, gave me xyzal and astepro today. Fingers are crossed.

I went out and bought three filters for my house and i use a neti pot. So far nothing has done much good.

I was amazed to find out all these symptoms are from allergies!

Look up NAET on the Internet and find a person in your area who has trained in this. The person who started it had TERRIBLE allergies and now there are drs. all over the world using her method. They are not medical drs. My general dr. referred me to one who was quite far from my house, but I was willing to go. Went last week and found a great deal of relief. Since I didn't want to make that trip, I went on the Internet and found one in my area. Just went today and have found more relief.

It may seem like hocus pocus, but it certainly has worked better than anything else and it is all natural.

You can look up the book Say Goodbye To Illness, which is written by the dr. who founded NAET.

It is amazing how helpful this has been in just two weeks.

Does allergy can affect the blood? how? I'd never go to any medical clinic, but as I read this forum, almost of the symptoms are my problems, too. When I was in high school, every little dust or just anything, I'll sneezed (non-stop).
Lately, I suffer from skin irritation. Just a little scratch could make my skin more itchy and the part where I scratch(even it's not too hard)- red spots, no red lines because of my nails will appear. Try to write your name on my arm, My frienRAB teases me because of this.

Huh..You sound like me. Almost identical and I am having a nasty flare up of all those symptoms after driving around in a convertable all weekend with the allergy counts in the "very high"category. Not smart but lots of fun1

Anyhow.. I can sympathize with you. Maybe you do these things already but what has helped me is;
1. For dist mite allergies ecase your box spring, mattress, pillows.
2. Use dist mite detergent to clean your bedding once a week.
3. Astepro does wonders for nasal congestion - but made me very tired so I stick to Veramyst.
4. Nasal rinses with grapefruit seed extact daily.
5. Air purifiers on every floor of my house.
6. Always keep the windows closed during high pollen counts. When it is nice out it is so tempting to let the fresh but pollenated air in!
7. I had my deviated septum fixed and turbinates reduced which helped my nasal symtoms alot - but I still get all the other stuff you mentioned when the pollen count is high.
8. I use something called the "furminator" on my cat and dog which helps with those allergies.

I too tried allergy shots but they only made me sicker so I stopped. I just know that for me allergies can make me feel systemically sick...Most allergy meRAB just make me tired but Benadryl is one that actually makes me feel better all over. I take a child's dose and it seems to help redice the histamine response in my body without making me to groggy. Hope you feel better soon.
