new tmo/8700 prob

I posted the below paragraph in the 8700 forum and wasn't getting much - now my bb is saying "service blocked" and i can't connect to the internet either - my phone service has obviously switched to tmo but could it just be that my data plan hasn't yet (that wouldn't really make any sense to me though) - any help would be greatly appreciated

"Just moved my service from Verizon to Tmobile and got the 8700 - I am having trouble getting my email set up - we use a bb server here at work but normally when i got a new bb i could just plug it into my computer and it would generate a new encryption key - it did it for this one when I plugged it in but I can't get any of my email to com up - any ideas guys???"
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I thought the change / activation for data took 24hrs? That might be the issue, check with your service provider.
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~T-Mobile told me it could take up to 72 hours, but usually only about 24. You may need to send service books and register on the network. You may be able to do this yourself through Options-Advanced Options-Service Books and Host Routing Table,respectively. But you may need to call T-Mobile(ask for a BB rep) and have them send them. I am not sure because you switched providers. If your service indicator doesn't say GPRS(in all caps) you data plan isn't currently functioning. Good luck and I hope this helps.
