Now that's something of a surprise, given the fairly dreadful first effort. Though I was surprised to see that it pulled in just shy of a 100m worldwide and only cost 35m to make, which may go some way to explaining it.

I wonder if Kylie will reprise her unforgetable Cammi turn?

I hate it when absolutely dire films get either made or get sequels, yet no-one is willing to make a new RoboCop movie and make it in the same vein as the original or as a revamp of the franchise ala Batman Begins. I bet this movie will be as bad as the first one.

Give it a chance first but I guess video games seldom do produce even an acceptable movie version.

The problem is Streetfighter could one of the most difficult games to turn into a movie.Supermario could of worked but they decided to turn it into a gritty,adult movie when as a game it was really a family/kiRAB game :rolleyes:
Double Dragon was acceptable if forgettable,so I guess Tomb Raider was the best effort.

Grand Theft Auto series is maybe the easiest game to turn into a really good movie.
 
With the way films are shot and the special effects out there, the possibilities are endless for this version (...such as actions performed in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Matrix). Also...GET THE BLASTED CASTING RIGHT!!!

and, no desrespect to the late Raul Gulia, but Bison REALLY neeRAB to be more physically imposing in this one.

I'm looking forward to this version. Althought I have to say, the campery badness of the first is still a fun film....AND IT HAS KYLIE!! :D
 
Street Fighter 2 has already been made. It was a Manga movie (Japanamation) made in the mid 90's I think and is absolutely brilliant. If you like SF then you must see it.
