Gone: Class of the Titans, Being Ian, and Spliced.

Yup.

I'm thinking they were pulled due to complaints, as a lot of parents are now seeing this as a preschool babysitter channel.

I never got to see Class of the Titans, dangit.

Noooo!!!! That stinks...
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. :(
But At least "Pippi Longstocking" is still in the schedule.
And "Shelldon" wasn't that good of a show either.

Yeah, they could, but they won't. NBC isn't interested in launching a new kids' channel. The only reason they air the Qubo block at all is to fulfill their E/I requirement.

Well, that sucks, and I really wanted to get Qubo because of that. Guess I have to hope for someone else picking this up, or a DVD deal.

Maybe Cartoon Network USA or NickToons could acquire Class of the Titans, Being Ian, and/or Spliced.

Why wouldn't Qubo acquire or air What's With Andy?

And I wish NBC/Qubo launched a cable channel that has vintage cartoon shows from the Universal and Classic Media library.

I think we should email qubo, asking them to bring back Class of the Titans, Being Ian, and Spliced, and to add some good shows from the NBC Universal and Classic Media librarys. What do you think?

Hmm... That stinks. Maybe someday another network will air these great shows and not cancel them because they aren't kid-friendly and what-not. But I guess we just have to move on. And there's a "Class of the Titans" DVD coming out sometime this year isn't there?

The thing about the three shows is that they are kid-friendly properties. Both Being Ian and Class of the Titans are seen globally on kid-oriented outlets and Spliced is also spreading around the world. It's just that qubo is aimed toward a certain demographic, and they're aiming to keep that particular demographic happy.

Which is kind of a shame because a lot of Nelvana-owned shows that doesn't have the E/I branding to them aren't readily available in the US largely because of the stranglehold of the Big Three (Nick, Disney, and Cartoon Network). They rule the marketplace and they control what airs and what doesn't, which is why it took so long for Class of the Titans, a series that just ended a 52-episode run almost two years ago, and Being Ian, another 52+ episode series, so long to get here, why Jacob Two-Two's airings are so sporadic, why DiGata was buried and poorly promoted, and why Ruby Gloom, Yvon of the Yukon, and a few others are still Canada-only properties.

Qubo really disappointed me. And I'm afraid those shows won't find a new home so soon.

Class of the Titans: Season 1, Vol. 1 was released on October 6. The only way to get it is by ordering it from amazon.com or from bestbuy.com, which I plan to do soon.:)

It's still a shame that Class of the Titans only lasted 6 episodes on Qubo. I guess they felt it was a bit too violent for young viewers.

I'll STILL watch Rescue Heroes though. I've always enjoyed that show because it brought back Lenore Zann into voice-acting.:D
