New ps3 brand ps3 bluetooth wont work?

So I bought it last night I have tried charging it from a energizer controller charger, a ps3, my computer and even after charging times in manuel it blinks red, I would think it would have enough charge to at least turn on but no,

And before you say 'return it!' I was stupid enough to throw away the packaging. yah.
