i traded in my ps2 to get the MGS4 Bundle that can play like 90% of PS2 games. my question is can new ps2 games also play on the PS3

cause Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories is coming out on the 2nd and i want to play it, but b4 i buy it i want to make sure that it can play on my system..
