New Phone?

Hey all, I have Cingular/AT&T and I'm looking into getting a new phone because I honestly can't stand my LG CG300. I want a phone with a decent camera that takes clear pictures, but without sacrificing battery life (like the Nokia N75 only getting 2 hours of talk time), I would also like it to be slim if possible. I was looking at the LG CU575, but I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a decent priced phone that takes decent pictures. Also, these features aren't as important but would be a nice bonus: an easy way to upload pictures onto the computer from the phone and custom ring tones?

Another thought running through my head is just to stick it out with this phone until the contract ends, which is May 2008, get a new phone at that time, right before I go to college.

Oh, and of course, I would need to talk on it so possibly a phone with clear reception, although lately, any AT&T phone has crap reception in my area.

I'd say get an unlocked Samsung D900. It's thin, has a decent camera, and has reasonable battery life. Also, it has customizable ring tones, and you can upload your files using usb or bluetooth.

There's also the Samsung U600. Features are a little bit better. But it will cost more and has a lower battery life.

If you've never gone the unlocked route try craigslist or ebay. Local mobile shops and internet stores are other sources of unlocked phones (but from my experience are generally more expensive).
 
I second that. Excellent UI, good quality camera thats also pretty speedy (for an autofocus camera), amazing reception. You can't go wrong.
 
W810 isn't a bad phone but if you're looking for a slim phone (which he is) it's not the right choice. Plus, I don't like the fact that it isn't QVGA.
 
The W810i is such a small phone, that its relative thickness doesn't matter. Also, I was worried about the lack of QVGA too (I came from a Samsung D600 and Motorola ROKR E2), but the screen is so bright, contrasty, and excellent it doesn't matter.
 
Looking at the price of phones, I'm thinking just duke it out one more year with this POS, but I was looking at the SE k750i, I like that one, decent price too. Anybody have any experience? I'm still looking though and very open to suggestions. Thanks everyone though, I took a look at the w810i, it's nice but its not my favorite.
 
Ok, well I found out I can upgrade my phone in November of this year, so I'm stuck with the dilemma, get the K750i now or wait until November and get the k790a or something else than. What do you guys think, the more I look at the 750i the more I like it, but that's only because I'm not looking at any k810i or 850i's O=).
 
If you're deciding between the k750i and the k790a, I would recommend the k790a. The improvements on the k790a, in my opinion, are worth the wait.
