New Phone(s)


Great post MowTow! I was waiting for you to chime back in! I know from my short time here on HoFo how right you are! I always look to you to for the most up-to-date information! I purchased my Tour based on your information. I was there the day they were released and even then the Rep wanted to tell me they did not have the phone! I had taken my Curve back on day 29 and told them I would be back on release date for the Tour. They just looked at me and said, OK. I was telling them when they would have it and this was all thanks to you!

I'm so excited for Android finally coming! Any word on what the Alltel hero is going to look like? Similar to the Sprint Hero? Droid Eris? GSM Hero? Something new?

I really would prefer the droid eris... but I can live with the sprint type.

Hopefully Alltel will still give me a decent price on 1 year contracts and I can be happy for a year :clapping:
 
I wasn't initially excited about the Hero when I heard Alltel was getting that phone, but the more I look at it, and the fact that it does Exchange, I am looking more and more forward to it.
 
I feel the same way. They do say in those reviews it's the best build of Android at that time. And it has Exchange support out of the box.

I have held one at Radio Shack that is Sprint's version and it's a very nice phone physically.
 
I called customer service again today and they gave me a confirmation that a couple of new phones should be coming by next month and one would be an android phone. He said that they actually had a meeting today and got this information. He said that if I called back in 2 - 3 weeks they should have much more information.

I just hope that the Hero is priced right considering that you can get an HD2 with TMobile for as little as $99.
