yeah, and plus you can buy a no contract Droid Eris off ebay for about $200 bucks and i bet by the time the Hero comes to Alltel, you could probably get one off of ebay for $150 or less.

You're exactly right. That's why IMO they should see this and offer this great phone that is not really "new" anymore for a great price.

If we do get the Droid listed...according to what I read , overclocking is out. So I wonder if they upped the speed?

Verizon is going to start pre-orders for the Kin One and Two on the 6th and reliese on the 13th. I wonder if that's when it will be out for alltel.

How is overclocking out? It is my understanting that if the phone can be rooted, it can be overclocked. I'm speaking strickly about the droid of course. The hero can also be overclocked, but it is currently under development and requires a rom replacement and special modified kernel.

FYI....ATNI/AWCC ALLTEL POLICY CHANGE:

Beginning this Thursday, May 6, customers will have three contract options.
(the pricing/contract format(s) will be comparable to how things used to be pre VZW/ALLTEL merger)

2 year contract will offer the lowest price after mail in rebate....
example: LG Touch FREE after $50 mail in rebate

1 year contract will be available but with no mail in rebate, also add +$60 to the before rebate price
example: LG TOUCH $50 (before 2yr contract rebate) + $60 = $110

No Contract will be available but with no discounts or rebates
example: LG TOUCH $310


Upgrade availability will be as follows:

-customers with a 1 yr contract will be eligible to upgrade 3 months before their contract ends

-customers with a 2 yr contract will be eligible to upgrade 4 months before their contract ends
