Hey all. I've just lost my Moto V635 and am using my backup C139, but I'm definately looking for a new phone. I'd like get a phone that is a bit more high end than my previous V635. I'm not a fan of the RAZR at all since it's very fragile and I tend to drop my phones every once in a while, though I do like the larger screen.

Here's what I'm looking for.

1. Good call and ring volume (my V635 was modded)
2. MP3 ringtones
3. Camera at least 1MP. Video of possible
4. Custom phonebook entries (picture, unique ringtone, multiple entries)
5. GSM North America
6. Bluetooth
7. Good RF reception
8. Large onboard memory or expandable (micro SD, MS Duo)

I was currently taking a look at the Moto Ming A1200, but I don't have any hands-on experience with it as far as customizeability and easy of use. I've only used Nokia and Moto phones in the past with the execption of one Samsung Flip back in 1998, LOL.

Any recommendations?

MOTOMING A1200. Just got it. ROCK ON. It's actually really good. Takes some getting used to but afterwards, its awesome. Has great customizability and a WOW factor to frriends.

Thanks for the replies.

DubDub, I would probably benefit most from a quad band phone. I'm in the military and am currently stationed in Honduras. The main provider down here uses 850. I travel back to the states every couple months or so and pop in a Cingular2Go SIM. Any other recomendations besides the MotoMing and the Sony W810i?

Sony W810i huh? I'm not a big fan of Sony products execpt for their Cybershot Cameras. I'll check out the specs.

impruv, the custimization options of Moto's definately appeals to me. I had a V600 before my V635 and have modded and customized plenty of my friend's Triplets VXXX's and V3's. The biggest thing among us down here is custom ringtones since we don't have any of those download services like everywhere else. I can make the tones on my laptop and send them via BT. Moto is very big down here.

Nokia E50 and Sony Ericsson Z710i fit your criteria from what I've read about them. I actually just purchased an E50, but I haven't gotten it yet. The Z710i was another one at the top of my list.
