New Palm TX Outlook 2003 Calendar Sync Hangs

New member
Just bought a Palm TX and trying to get the Calendar Sync with Outlook 2003 to work. Sadly it seems to hang, locking both my PC and the Palm TX. However the calendar data was transferred.

I've included the log file. Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

In Outlook - help menu, run "Detect and Repair" but be warned you may (may or may not) need your original Office CD.

Run that - it'll take a few minutes and then reboot the computer before attempting a hot sync.

After the reboot - if a hot sync still fails. Go by Pocket Mirror Pro XT from Chapura and install it - guaranteed to solve the poorly designed Palm conduit for Outlook.

Also - if you are running the Business Contact Manager of Outlook - definitely get PMPXT.
 
Thanks for the advice. I ran the Detect & Repair as advised and that all seemed fine - no errors - ran quite quickly and then rebooted. I decided to download the PMPXT and it looked fine on the first hotsync, but found lots of errors in the log, and even more when I tried it again.

I have sent the log files and the PMPXT summary to Chapura - hopefully they will be able to analyse it all.
