Romantic restaurants in New Orleans? There are some places in the French Quarter, but only if you consider it romantic to have a rather hefty woman standing on a table chugging a 24-oz beer, while the crowd below yells, "Chug, Chug, Chug." I've been to New Orleans, and there's not a single romantic anything anywhere in town. The food at all the restaurants will make you ill, also, which is not at all romantic. They tend to put this stuff on it that either makes it so spicy it sets your mouth on fire or puts so much fat into your belly you wish you could throw up. It's all made out of fried lard, it seems. The entire town also smells like rotting silage, and it's worse in the summer.
