Hi, I was with Bell years ago and I am coming back. Is there any chance I can get a free installation out of them with a one year contract? Has anyone ever got this? Thanks
Barry

Probably not. What is keeping you from signing the 1 year contract? They have to ensure that the ??? $ they spend on installing the equipment will be paid back in monthly fees. If not, every pirate Tom, Dick and Harry would get Bell to professionally install the dish, and then cancel. If you don't want to sign a contract, I believe the charge to you is only $150, so if the contract is a deal breaker, just pay to have it installed.

The free installation is ONLY with a 2 year Contract. With a 1 year there are some charges, not sure what they are.

It is 99 dollars installation for 1 year contract. From reading the retention deals of 30-40 per cent off programming I think I would be further ahead paying for the install on a 1 year contract than a 2 year deal. Maybe after the one year is up I could get a discount on programming that would more than pay for the install. Sound reasonable?

Why is it that everyone wants Free TV......Or at least Free Installations.

You will get what you pay for.

Retention deals are usually for customers who have been on contract, or at least with Bell for a set period of time. I don't think they throw too many retention deals at not so new/old customers. You can try, it can't hurt.

Installation is free only ON A 2 YEARS CONTRACT (You must purchase or rent a new equipement to be eligible since Bell TV doesn't sign contract on old equipement)
Installation is 99$ if you sign a 1 year contract + 50$ per additionnal receiver (You must purchase or rent a new equipement to be eligible since Bell TV doesn't sign contract on old equipement)

If you choose the 2 years contract you will also be eligible for the current new client promo

If you do not intend to rent or buy new equipement
If you re-open you old account there would be a 50$ re-activation fee
If the account was under another person's name (EX:girlfriend) there would be a 35$ transfer fee
You won't be eligible to any new client promo or any form of discount
