I've always known that plastic bottles with #7 on the bottom can leech harmful chemicals into the water that can cause cancer and alter hormones. Yesterday at the store however, I saw the new line of Nalgene bottles. They are still #7, but now the advertise "bpa free." It says it is made from Eastman Tritan coployester without BPA. Jargon aside, is this new plastic safe to drink from? What about to put in the dishwasher? Also, #2 (HDPE) are still safe right? Thanks!
