New N73ME in the US

So Friday my new N73ME came in from ImportGSM. I use T-Mobile here in the US which has fairly decent Edge coverage. This phone was bought in place of my Nokia 3230 that I've had for about a year and a half.

It took me a considerable amount of time to decide between the N73 and the N93. Looking back I'm still not 100% sure if I would've enjoyed the Wi-Fi and Video functions the N93 would've given me, but I'm sure glad I have 850 coverage for those parts of the country that uses them. I now have coverage during my drives out to the wineries in the other parts of the state that I didn't have with the 3230, with no 850 support.

This is one sweet phone. The camera is fantastic, EDGE is faster than the 3230, the browser is nice (although a fit to screen would be handy), the media player is decent enough for out and about listening sessions, some of the apps for it are very interesting (Y! mobile, Mystrands, Podcasting, Flickr support, etc.), but the biggest thing is just how much better this phone is than just about anything else you can get in this country. It's really sad that I couldn't get a subsidized price for a this phone through T-Mobile with a contract. At least not subsidized enough to warrant a contract extension.

Well look at the price difference too.

And your N73 with quad-band and edge, compared to tri-band N93 but with 30FPS VGA video and WiFi.

If you find it boring, you can always sell it or trade + cash for a N93. I've been wanted a N93i for a long time, but I went over it for a N73, and I love it.
