New movie channel opinion

Does anybody think it would be good if a cinema backed a tv channel which showed films that where currently at the cinema in a box office style. I understand its all about the experience of the cinema but some people dont like the cinema (small seats, annoying people around then, rip off pop corn prices etc). Im not saying i dont like the cinema but does anyone think it would work or be a good idea?

Silly idea, sorry, there's no way a cinema would ever back anything like this because they wouldn't be able to make people eat and drink their refreshments with a 500% mark-up.

Well it is certainly getting near that happening with Sky Box office showing some films on the same day as dvd release and SBO showed two films at Christmas at the same time as cinema release. But they were less mainstream films. i cant see something like Star trek or Harry potter 6 showing on a movie channel at the same time as the cinema.

No way that'd happen - Someone would direct record it meaning good quality rips of films would be up for download immediately.
