The problem with AWS spectrum is equipment (both BTS and MS) availability. There's also an issue with encurabered users in that band class in many markets. (Although the spectrum has been auctioned off, it's still in use by various entities and the FCC has set specific timetables for each user to vacate the spectrum, some of those go several years into the future.) So I wouldn't hold my breath. Under ideal circumstances we may see the very first AWS deployments late next year, but more likely in 2008.
