New M50 Rider, no owners manual

Hello all, I'm new to the forum but have been riding for just over a year now. I bought my '05 M50 about a month and a half ago and I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I know the tank can hold 4 gallons and there is a low fuel light provided but since I didn't get an owners manual with the bike I'm not sure when it is set to go off. I've had it blink at me a couple of times but when I fill up it only takes around 3 gallons. I'm wondering if it starts to blink with 1 gallon left and stays solid at some other amount. Anything would be appreciated. If anyone has an owners manual that they could get to be it would be great too.

On my 2007 C50 my gas guage basically has 5 segmented bars that as the bike burns gallons each segment goes out. When there is approx. 1 gal left there is 1 bar left. When the last bar starts flashing I have approximately 1/2 gal left and better get to a station within about 25 miles. So if your guage is the same this is a good guide.

Also, have you tried going to the Suzuki website and downloading the manual in PDF format? They should have a link to do that on their site.

Welcome...I also have a '05 C50. My light usually blinks when I have 148-50 miles on. The fuel tank holds 4.1 gallons and I can usually get 200 miles on one tank if I am the only rider.

Following is from my 2007 C50 Manual:

Fuel meter
The fuel meter indicates the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank. The fuel meter displays all 5 segments when the fuel tank is full. The segment comes on when the fuel level drops below 3.5 L (3.7/3.1 US/lmp. qt).The segment flicker when the fuel drops below 1.5 L (1.6/1.3 US/lmp. qt).
