Well said; This is exactly the way i feel about their new album.
Minutes To Midnight had some good songs, 1-2 GREAT songs, and the rest were a bit dissapointing. I mean, when I first bought the CD, I thouhgt it was fake. I'd heard that they had a new style and that they were traversing away from their old nu-metal style, but this was just plain weird. Being the dedicated Linkin Park fan I am, I listened to the cd more and more and now it's beginning to grow on me. The songs that I initially liked were What I've Done just because it was catchy and Leave Out All the Rest because the lyrics were just so inspiring and they really made me think. Now, i'm beginning to like Bleed it Out, No More Sorrow, and Valentine's Day (mostly the middle).
BTW, It was named Minutes to Midnight because at the time the CD was being published, the Doomsday clock was exactly at five minutes (confirmation to earlier post). Their new songs actually have quite a lot to do with this topic if you listen to them in order and put that in mind.
Overall, I enjoyed their new cd, although some of the aspects were dissapointing.
