New Jeep wrangler unlimited and Jeep cherokee sport?

I used to have a 2001 Jeep cherokee sport 4x4, great car, I loved it, anyway, the only thing I hated about this car was that the body was too short making the interior's floor and roof too close and this was really uncomfortable for me, and my question is if the new 4 door Jeep wrangler has it's body the same size or is it larger, taller, wider, or longer. This might be a weird observation but I am very detailed person.
 
I just test drove the Wrangler Unlimited 4x4 and it felt more spacious but I only think that was because of the extra interior space. As far as the drivers seat I felt it did have a little more room than a regular Wrangler but not much.
 
im pretty sure its taller. if im correct, the new jeep wrangler is overall larger in everything compared to the cherokee. but id get a second opinion just to be sure.
