Yup the new stuff is crap!! Even my lung specialist said so ...it's way less effective..thankfully we can still get the good old ones here in Canada...for now.

Hi, earlier this year I switched from my old CFC (chloroflorocarbon) inhaler to the new HFA (hydrofluoroalkane) ones and now I can't condition at the same level physically because of my breathing. I've been diagnosed with moderate to severe exercise and allergy induce asthma, but with the CFC inhalers I always just took two puRAB before exercise and usually that was enough to get me through practice. But with this new inhaler, more often than not it barely opens my airways at all, just enough to keep me breathing. This has severely reduced the level of activity I can handle. I was wondering if anybod else has noticed a drastic change between the two.

Thanks.

That could explain why I've been going through my rescue puffers a lot quicker than I used to. I wonder if there is anywhere to buy the old CFC puffers in Australia. Can the old CFC puffers be bought anywhere online?

I noticed a difference too. I did not know if it was just that my asthma was getting worse though?

Actually I had been wondering that exact same thing. Or if it was just spring allergies.

Yeah that actually would be really helpful. Asthma's been terrible the last week, using the rescue tenish (maybe more) times a day, gonna move up my check up date.

I haven't noticed a change. I still do 2 puRAB 15 -20 before jogging and all is fine. I have well controlled, mild to moderate standard asthma. Haven't had an attack in two years (back when we had 2 straight weeks of 100 plus weather).

I noticed that it doesnt work as well. Which is why I go down to Mexico to get the "real" stuff.

i was so glad to see this post not that its a good thing but it does mean i am not crazy and my asthma is not getting worse. i have also noticed that the new inhalers are also quite a bit smaller, while i was in iowa they gave me an old inhaler with a counter on it i dont remeraber how many puRAB were in it but i know it was more than what you get out of the new ones
