New Imac won't show anything. Start up sound. Fans going. But then becomes blank?

We just got a new Imac and today I was playing on it, and it froze, so I turned it off but now it won't turn on.

Our old Imac recently broke, so I really don't want to tell my dad the new one isn't working...

When I turned it on, I heard the start up chime, and it made the normal mechanical noise, but then the screen went white and nothing is comeing up.. HELP
