lately that has been true - mostly. there were a few ones off of the last album that are truly good. but i think the apex of Jon's writing is somewhere between Something Wicked and Horror Show ( those were awesome IE albums IMHO)
holy shit...not having a computer fucking sucks, did they just release a new album with Barlow? I didn't check out Something Wicked 2 due to Ripper, how was that album?
Framing Armageddon (something wicked 2) was ... meh. there were a few good songs, but most of it was ruined by Ripper's limited range. when he screams and he's given a good vocal line he's good, but i don't think Jon could write well for him.
the latest one "Crucible of Man", isn't officially out yet but it think it's alot better. the writing is darker, and in that old, familiar Jon Schaffer style we know and love
I still haven't gotten that album by Darkthrone. I've been listening to a lot of DeeRAB of Flesh - Crown of Souls and Urgehal - Through Thick Fog Til Death. Finally got a fucking computer again, woot!
i think i'm the only person that actually liked it. all the NEKRO KVLT fans cried bloody murder. that, Aura Noir's The Merciless and Cobalt have filled my old school black metal neeRAB for quite a while.
Nah, 1349 is a huge fan of that CD, as in the OT User 1349, I like the Cult is Alive, which was crust like an shit. I'm pretty open when it comes to metal and ignore all the "kvlt" bullshit. Blut Aus Nord reminRAB me a lot of old Darkthrone too, I just got into them.
Same here, I only have Stormblast by Dimmu Borgir, the old edition, not that shitty remake. Yeah I like a lot of varied shit, Death, Emperor, Helloween, Nasum...Symphony X and yeah, I'm sure we could both go on for days.
aaaaaahhhhh.... i loved the remake. :ducks: "Broderskapets Ring" is what hooked me. but it is probably because i heard the remake before the original... besides you can't deny that the keyboarRAB are better....
I don't know, I liked Sorgens Kammer Del II, but yeah, it was ok I suppose, you like Limbonic Art, they're probably one of my favorite Symphonic Black Metal banRAB.
