New Honda Civic...2 questions...?

1. Yeah, it's normal, when it goes down to 2000 it's in the 4th gear AKA overdrive... it's to save gas.
2. If it's an automatic, just put it in P...You don't need the E-brake unless you're on a hill for some extra stability.

First, when I go on the highway, after it shifts and goes up to 3000 rpm, it will go down to 2000 and pretty much stay there. I'm not a speed racer, so I'm just going 55-70...is it normal to stay at 2000?

Second, it's a automatic trans. Do I use parking brake all the time? If yes, what is the best way to do it? Do I park, take foot of brake, then set emergency brake? Or do I do it w/ my foot still on the brake after I put it in park?

Thanks...
