Okay, my name is Matthew and im from Memphis Tn. I have a question to ask and would greatly appreciate any help given to me.

My the problem is my scalp. Okay about a year and a half ago my scalp was itching really bad in a certain spot.Let me also say that I have seborrheic dermatitis but I dont think this has anything to do with it.Anyway, it was itching really bad and I decided to scratch it like crazy(I know not a good idea) and have been paying for it ever since. Shortly after that a bunch of different sized bumps started appearing only on the back of my scalp.Sometimes they itched other times they just annoyed me because I can feel them when i rub the back of my head. I've been to 4 different doctors and none of them have been right yet.The first one said it was Ringworm. The other three all said folliculitis and gave me medicines for it that NEVER WORKED. They're still on my head after almost 2 years and havent shown any signs of remission. In some spots they go away only to pop up in another spot.Sometimes they hurt and sometimes they dont. Also they tend to bleed if they get rubbed hard.On a side note, one day I was washing my hair and when I got done I saw that a certain spot was bleeding and I decided to pour some Hydrogen Peroxide on it.It fizzed like no there was no tommorrow :(. I got to a point where I was so desperate that I pretty much started using everything:Apple cider vinegar, Tetrasil, etc.. Also its finally spreading to the top of my head I believe. Theres a itchy spot on my head that feels exactly like the spot that it all started in and there is a bump there :(Should I try to see another doctor or should I just try to live with it?

Hey, Matthew. I kind of have the same type of thing going on, except my bumps are scabs from where I've been scratching. Yes, I know, TMI. My regular doctor said I had psoriasis ("a classic case"), and referred me to a dermatologist who said it was "a classic case" (again) of eczema. None of the medicine that either doctor prescribed is working, so I'm here now looking into the apple cider vinegar idea. Sorry that didn't work for you.

Anyway, yes, I think it would be a good idea for you to see another doctor. I've been reading that doctors can send a skin scraping to the lab to determine what it is. Insist on that!

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

okay its me again.I decided to just stop touching my scalp in general even if it itched unbearably. It worked! The bumps on my head now have shrunken to about the size of an ant :) I only feel three tiny ones in my head and Ive started washing my head with Selsun Blue moisturizing shampoo.Hope this helps anyone who has these symptoms too
