New E61 User. Help Please!

I just got my E61 today and I noticed that it doesn't have nearly as good recption as my SE S710a. Is there a way to inmprove it?

Here are some dying question I have.
1. Is there anyway to increase the size of the text in the phone?
2. How do I cange my ringtone? I can't for m life figure it out!
3. Why won't my Real Player play RVMB video files?
4. How do I set up my Gmail and Yahoo mail with the default e-mail client?

I will post more questions. But those three I'm dying to know

2) Go to Settings>Profiles>and click the General profile to "personalize" it.
3) It's a very lite version of Realplayer that doesnt have nearly the same support as the PC version does. You won't be able to play those files unless Real releases an updated player for Symbian. I know it sucks. I can't even watch my South Park episodes
 
That's strange....My e61 blew my s710a out of the water when it comes to reception. That really boggles me. Are all your settings right/have you gone to the Nokia site to get the settings sent to your phone for Cingular? Mine worked right out of the box, but it might be worth a shot if you haven't made sure your settings are correct....
 
Did you have to download anything to get the good reception? I downlaoded the settings from Nokia. It has improved somewhat but still not as good as my S710a. I live in Vancouver
 
Yeah that might be it, take it off 3G if thats what its set to. Maybe Toronto has better GSM reception then Vancouver, I don't know. I didn't have to download anything, although I am on the most current firmware for the E61.

My E61 gets sweet *** recpetion and im in vancouver. I just switched it to GSM...and i think that's it. I'll double check later, since i don't have my phone on me. But this phone has the BEST reception ever.
 
Can you guys give me step by step on how to switch it to GSM? The new UI is a little confusing to me because I've used so many SE phones
 
^ what you need is more time to play around with your new toy... cmon, its not that too complicated and there is also a nice flash tutorial in help folder, you can start with that and the help also does helps...
 
I went to the place where you can switch between UTMS, Dual mode, or GSM only. But I only get UTMS and Dual. No GSM only. I asume I need a firmware upgrade? Where do I get it and can I do it on any phone? Mine came from Hong Kong. Will I need a Hong Kong specific firmware upgrade?
