Hey everyone,
Wanted to get this one out there as a first post but close enough.
I just took delivery of a beautiful white 1198 this week which is replacing a 07 CBR1k. After wanting and drooling over the 1098 when it first came out I finally pulled the trigger. I'm not a young guy at 39 nor am I new to sport bikes as I've been riding them since I picked up an FZ750 right after high school. I've owned a bunch of Yammys and a Suzuki or two throughout the years and most recently my big Honda. I've had FZs, FZRs, YZFs and a GSXR thrown in for good measure.
Saying all that this bike is different, way different. It's not only beautiful but it's something I plan on hanging onto and I am usually not a sentimental guy. From the get-go I've added a Termi slip on system and a couple of carbon bits along with an open clutch cover with gold pressure plate & ss springs. I should have a rear Ohlins in route within the next few weeks and will probably pull the forks for some R&Ts if I can convince my better half they're needed sooner than later. No pics yet but soon as our weather is starting to get nice enough to put some miles on her. I put about 80 on when I picked it up in 40mph winds and 50 degree temps which while fun was
