New Droid User needs help

New member
have only had my droid a month or so. can't seem to figure out how to transfer my pictures from the droid to my computer. i've connected USB cable and selected USB mass storage but it gives me message about no memory card. doesn't the phone come with a memory card?

and how do i open the stupid battery area!!!
 
I'm an N1 owner, but since no-one's stepped up to the plate on this one... Google suggests that you slide the battery door towards the speaker to open it..

To check for a memory card: look in the Settings menu under storage.

You can also transfer your pictures using other methods (depending on the apps you have installed and your Android version):
- Bluetooth
- Messaging
- Facebook
- Dropbox
- etc

Using the Gallery app, select the photo(s) you want to transfer (long press an image to select) and then use the Share option to select your preferred method of sharing.
