So after things going relatively well, my anxiety got out of control again. :(My psych decided that Luvox CR would be the best SSRI for me since I have severe OCD. I was also already on Abilify, Klonopin as needed, and Vistaril twice daily, and Trazadone at night. Inderal also got added. I'm very frustrated because it seemed that things were going so well a little over a week ago, and they started becoming progressively worse with me constantly stressing and "what if"ing myself, then resulting in a panic attack today. Has anyone had any luck with this corabo or with Luvox or Inderal? Thanks for any help you may be able to give. I would elaborate more, but I am just drained.

I take Lorazapam for my anxiety. 22 million prescr. in 2008 per AARP 10/89 issue.
Your "cocktail" was a valient effort, but perhaps another opinion might be worth a try. Bill

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that the Luvox and the Inderal were just added today. Hopefully they will help.

I'm taking 300 mg's of Luvox for OCD & very low doses of Abilify and Klonopin. Seems to be working so far. I still struggle with my OCD, anxiety, and depression, but they are more manageable. I just hope it continues. I have a great pdoc. He also used to be an oncologist and hemotologist, so he is extremely knowledgeable with medications. He himself and has a family history of anxiety, ocd, depression, so he is very understanding and is in no way judgmental. He is compassionate and sincere and understanRAB. It's very comforting to me.

Thank you for your response. I'm praying that the Luvox 300 mgs works for me. I just started last night at 100 mgs, and I know that is way too soon to tell a difference, but it was so frustrating at work to have to take the Vistaril, Klonopin, and Inderal, even though my psych said I would have to at least in the beginning and possibly throughout. I just wish it would get better soon. I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow at lunch, and that should help, too, especially being able to express those frustrations to her. I just feel like a failure. First Prozac did well, then it pooped out on me, then Cyrabalta did fine for a while (I was only on it three months) before the OCD symptoms, bad anxiety, and panic attacks came up again.
I am so glad you have an understanding doctor. Mine is pretty understanding and knowledgable, too, and that makes a world of difference.

I'm surprised that you are starting at 100 mg's. That is a pretty high dose. Generally you start at 50mgs. and work your way up each week. But what do I know I'm not a doctor. I was on Zoloft for years then it pooped out. Was put on Celexa and worked great for about 8 mnths and pooped. However, I was never put on the max dose of either of these drugs and told my doc that. I might have given up to soon on them. Anyway, Luvox has been a challenge especially at first, but I think my system is starting to adjust. Keep in mind that some of these AD's can take up to 8-12 weeks at the therapeutic dose before you can tell if it will work. I think that many people give up on them to soon. Give it time and be patient. Hope all works out well for you. We are so fortunate today to have these medications to help us. Let's hope that someday they find a cure. Wouldn't that be great?
