I suffer from chronic pain in my cervical and lurabar spine from an injury. I've had several surgeries to save the use of my right leg and give me back use of my arms. I cannot exercise or do physical therapy because of the pain and my insurance won't cover hydrotherapy. I live in Maine so I go to the beach whenever I can during the summer. I have a problem with water temperature and so I found a lake that is nice and warm most of the time. I was in the water yesterday for about five hours. I did get out once for about a half hour. Its so nice being weightless for awhile and it usually gives me some relief. I started having pain in my neck near my collar bone but it wasn't the collar bone itself. Then it moved to my chest but felt like it was the back of my chest. Now when I move my head in any direction it hurts really bad. Also when I move I get this built up pressure in my chest that is excrutiating and then it makes a loud popping sound and it relieves some of the pressure feeling. Anyone have any ideas what can be causing it and why? One more question. After getting out of the water I wrapped a towel around me and I sat down and it felt as if a million volts of electricity was running through my chair and I instantly jumped up. There was nothing on or in the chair to cause the pain. I sat back down and I had the same pain and then it slowly subsided and became a dull aching pain that still remains. Can anyone help cause I have no idea who to turn to. I take pain meRAB daily and yet this pain isn't subsiding with the use of my meRAB. My local ER is so crappy. They only ever think everyone is out to get pain drugs but I don't need them but that's how I'm treated. I would just like to know if anyone has ever had these types of pains and I want to be able to understand what is causing it. I'm so very confused and perplexed....
