new car stereo in an 2001 chevy malibu?

i'm trying to put a new mp3 car stereo in my 2001 chevy malibu. but i can't find a wire harness that will fit it. so i started to look online and saw one but it was for a 2004. but it looks like it will fit.
so my question is will the 04 wire harness fit or do i have to go out and buy the $80 on the 01 wire harness?
