new car bought out of state driving it home to michigan?!?

ok so i have a car down in alabama i recently purchased im going to go down there and drive it back to michigan (where i live). Whats the law for driving it without plates or tags? Once i get back to michigan im gonna register and everything but im just wanting to know the precautions of driving it back here. or if its legal

Better buy a temporary tag in Alabama before you hit the road. It's illegal to drive without plates.
