Okay, i have a new boss. the old one was kind, understanding, he treated everyone nicely, he always had a smile on his face, and things always ran smoothly. But he got an offer for a better job and took it. The new boss is a total ogre. First, she cut my hours from 5 days a week to 2 or 3 and made the shifts shorter. Then she started this weekly clean up thing with tasks that are undoable. She told us to scrub all the baked on grease from the baking pans. Easier said than done. I took this wire scrub stuff (super duper heavy duty. it's so sharp that u HAVE to wear very thick rubber gloves in order to use it.) and scrubbed one pan for over a half hour and you couldn't tell that I even touched it. If you don't finish your weekly cleanup, you get two for the next week. She treats everyone like shit and acts like she's god himself. I want to quit, but I don't have another job lined up. I don't know what to do right now, so I'll just do nothing. But it bugs me so much I wanna scream out, SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH! *sigh*

:hug2: :kcheek: U guys always know how to make me feel better. Thanks for the hugs and Gf, thanks for the kiss on the cheek and the cookie. Cookies always make something bad seem all better. Especially warm chocolate chip cookies with a glass of cold milk. mmmm

Where do you work Mag? I have a managers like that. The GM he is a total asshole, he came from the marines and thinks he is still in it, thats how bad they treat us, and now they hired a second and OMG, he is just as worse...lol.

I work at Perkins, A family owned resturaunt. Bull shit. Family owned my ass. Tonight, my boss told me to sweep and wash the floors the moment my shift was done. I told him that my shift was over and he said, "well, nobody is going to get out of here on time tonight." Then he turned around and sent 2 ppl home early. WTF???! So tomorrow i'm going to go around town and pic up apps. and start to job hunt again. I'm sick of being walked all over all the time.

you'll be aight, and just a tip from personal experience...when finding a new job, make sure you have the job by all means..cuz i really screwed myself when i "thought" i had the job....about 3 weeks of nothingness...broke...but now i got a job...

it's doable, but make sure you got it first...and your situation kinda sounds like mine too, funny eh?, my last job was totally fine with our GM...everything wasn't easy, nothing is..but he's nice......then this bitch assistant manager shows up and starts ordering everyone around and giving me all this 'extra'shit i don't get payed to do like 5 minutes before my shift ends....so i Always stayed like 20 to 30 min after i was supposed to leave, plus they made me do the baker position w/o the higher salary, i get ripped off big time...so i left, maybe a little too early but i just couldn't take another day there all cuz of that manager

good luck :hug2: hope something works out for ya

Pfft. I had to walk home today in 100+ degree heat.

If I were you, I'd look in to jobs outside of fast food. It's dead end... if you start now, you could have a great job during college, and maybe even a career after.

Do you live on the west coast?

I was merely remarking that the west coast was anything but nice this time of year
