New Aerize Wifix (POST HERE IF IT ISNT WORKING)

I want to verify that it is unnecessary(and perhaps counter-productive) to prepend www to a hostname in WiFix. Can some who at present cannot get Shangmail to work please try this and let me know if you got it to work.
 
Yes the reason I have www in many of my entries is just starting of ill addd www.google.com

www CAN mater depending on the server but highly unlickley for www.google.com to point to a different service than google.com but its possible

finding host names is easy make sure the application doesn thave internet rights from permission make it prompt then turn the firewall on and write down everything that comes in, I cant remember why I used 444 but mine works flawlessly

working on youtube but it uses RTSP and I dont know if aerize wifix will support that
 
Also if we are limited to only 80 and 8080 then this application sint what im looking for I want something more like PROXYCAP for blackberry :( oh well my HTC TOUCH PRO arrives today (i hope)
 
Yet an still for those people like myself who kept getting the "Network Error" message they should remove the www from the hostname and try it like that. One other thing. ..if your browser won't connect to your hostname unless you remove the www then WiFix probably has the same problem. Of course all this could peculiar to my phone only but I doubt that.

I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 with Blackberry Maps partially working, does anyone have it fully functional on cricket with Aerize Wifix?

I am able to get my location and search for places, but whenever I hit "Navigate to this location" it cannot find a route...

shangmail never worked for me till i put in the hostnames sprocket2000 gave so applause to that. been trying forever it seems like. also pocket express is a great app that has everything from news to weather and even show times and movies of a local theater of your choice and much more. any who the hostname is only www.pocketexpress.com . hope this helps
 
i upgraded to OS 5.0 and have wifix 1.0.0.0
my apps (google maps, weathereye, etc.) USED to work, now nothing does

AND i can't find the "aerize wifix" line in the options section anymore to even change settings... wtf????? i do see aerize wifix when i go to applications under options but that only lets me edit permissions and see the modules

i am so freaking mad.... wish i had never upgraded.... please help!!!!!!! :doh:

FYI - i paid the $5 for wifix so i have/had a registered copy before i upgraded my OS

recap - 1. WHERE IS WIFIX so i can alter settings?
2. any known fixes for OS 5.0?
 
I'm so glad you guys got cricket internet to work on your blackberry, because it gives me hope to get mine working. I got Aerize WiFix 1.0, have cricket.ipd service book, used this aerize google settings mentioned earlier, and still couldn't get to the internet. I even edited the WAP2 Trans service book with Magic Berry and entered and APN of wap.mycricket.com:8080 (though the HRT shows APN: "wap.mycricket.com" and IP/Ports: 0.0.0.0:8080:443"), still no internet access through the MobileWeb. Were have you guy's been putting in your cricket proxy wap.mycricket.com? Is there something else I need to do? I have a 8330m. Thanks.
