Just set up my new 5900PVR and everything went smoothly except no channel 401 (TSN2). Its not in red. It just doesn't appear, the guide jumps from 400 to 402. I have two other receivers a 2700 and 4700 which both receive the channel fine. I've called Bell several times and have tried the usual fixes reboot with front power button, check switch as well as having them fire off a "reset signal". Nothing has worked so far and I'm getting frustrated with Bell's assistance. Does anyone have any ideas??

Try going onto your Bell.ca account and go to "syncronize" programming.

Works for me in situtations like this.

Thanks for the reply but I called again and had them send me another "synchronize" hit with no success. I'm assuming this is the same as doing it yourself online. He mentioned that TSN2 free preview expired on 15Dec but said it should show up. He mentioned that I may have to get a new reciever but I've got to think that if only one channel out of hundreds is missing its got to be something fairly simple, not a hardware issue. Any other last ditch solutions???

Yes, I do have the Sports 1 package. I've checked Lyngsat.com and TSN2 is on transponder 30 and I have the other channels off that transponder. I've checked all settings such as having the EPG set to All Channels and nothing so far. My next step is to request that Bell replace my PVR as I am paying for that channel and it is one that I watch regularly (Raptors Games). Any ideas?? I'm open to anything.

Checked that and no. Channel 401 doesn't even show up on my channel lock list as an option. Its as if that channel doesn't exist for some reason. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have another receiver at home? If yes, is 401 working? Is any other channel missing? Do you have your new smartcard? (not the blue & yellow)

In rare occs, i would receive calls from cust. where the sc cannot retrieve info from our central office anymore. If it is the case, Bell would have to send you a new one.

Pull your card out for 10 seconds, then put it back in and that should work to get your missing channels back once the system reloads and downloads your guide.

Thanks for your help everyone. I called Bell again today and this time they deleted all programming then activated it all over again, followed by a "hit" to my receivers. Within an hour I finally had 401 on my PVR. Curiously enough though, this is the first rep that didn't try to sell me additional packages during our call. Perhaps she actually focused on her job and solved my problem. Anyhow, all is well and thanks again for your efforts!

It's funny you'd say the TSN2 disappeared because the same happened to me along with all of my SD premium movies channels (MC and EA). Happened around the time they added HBO channels to the packages. I also tried a check switch and online synch but no luck. Guess I will have to call as well... but not crtiical for me since I can just watch the HD versions which were unaffected. But odd that we both had TSN2 go missing...
