I just got a new honda civic about a week ago and I was wondering if my transmission was normal or if I have a problem. At low speeds it seems very jerky almost like I'm in a manual transmission and in 2nd gear. Also when I come to a stop you can feel the transmission in gear slowing me down and then it jerks into neutral or 1st gear when I finally come to a stop. It's very hard to explain but it just doesn't seem right. It doesn't seem like I can coast at any speed in the car, like it's always in a gear and that gear is slowing me down. It's mostly the erratic shifting at low speeds that I'm concerned about.
