New 2004 Chevy venture... but cant get dvd player to work?

My mom just bought a 2004 chevy venture and we cant get the dvd player to work. Im pretty shure you have to put the dvd into the cd player slot but when we tryed it just pops right back out. (and there is no slot on the dvd player itself). Im wondering if maby someone has a van the same or just like it maby knows how to get it to work
 
One look in the manual and it prob doesnt go into the cd player there must be a diffrent cd slot under a seat or someplace hidden like that..
