has anyone ever had this problem? it seem the closer i am to the end of my contract, the better customer service i receive. i find that tmo is more apt to make you happy to keep you as a customer if the contract is ending soon. example: two of my phone lines contract was ending, i ordered 2 bb's ,on the website it said " free shipping on all phones ordered on line" nothing about with new service only, when i finished my order , it didnt come up with free shipping of the phones. so i called tmo and they said that they would credit my account for the shipping charges. and they did just that. i just recently did another phone upgrade, and that same "free shipping on all phones ordered on line was still there" so as again it didnt take off the shipping charge, so i called tmo and mentioned the "free shipping" they told me that they couldnt credit me for the shipping because its for "new line of service" i told them that that wasnt in the terms of condition, and that 6 monhts ago the same thing happened and they credited me then, why not now? well i didnt get my credit. but i truely think its because 2 of my phones are already stuck in a 2 yr contract so they really didnt care. thats not the only time i had sub par customer service. all in all i love tmo service and price. i was just wondering if anyone else has noticed it, or am i just crayz?

Welcome to wireless.

That is not just a T-Mobile thing. All companies do this. They do whatever they can to keep you when the going gets tough. They have an entire department dedicated to saving customers (customer retention). Just about anytime you want something..... just threaten to cancel and retention will give you whatever price on whatever phone, credit for overrage, whatever. Now this si not a daily thing. If they find that you are abusing this dept they will put a note on your account not give anymore credits or anything at all.

Also, it could have been the caliber of rep you spoke to then and now. The person you just spoke to recently may have seen thatyou had complained about the same problem and decided that you should be credited for that again. Who knows.

Is the free shipping misleading? Yup. That's why when you are checking out you look for the shipping being free or not. If it's not then you call and order through cust care and they waive it.

In the end, TMO is still a wireless company and they Looooove to screw customers one way or another.

Usually a company will do something as a one time courtesy.I know its suppose to be free shipping for new acts and its a 15$ for upgrades. But usually it's a one time credit and that's it. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
