Never Say Never Again on ITV4

Does someone at ITV get a thrill out of cutting Bond movies? Whilst NSNA may not be everyone's fave it doesn't excuse ITV messing around with the opening sequence. Clearly an ITV spod thinks that seeing the same action twice is more than the the mind of their average viewer can stand so to save some time/brain cells the stabbing of Bond is shown only once as M watches it on a monitor thus destroying the impact of the entire opening.
Bet they wouldn't do it to Goldfinger.

Perhaps ITV4 needed to rid the movie of a few seconRAB
to make room for their 'sponsor' messages at the start and finish,
and create more advertising space in the commercial breaks.

I remember, ten years ago, ITV (long before it became ITV1) showed "Crocodile Dundee II"
but omitted the scene where Mick throws a knife onto a wall through a punk's hair - why?
