Hey everyone. For the last two weeks my anxiety symptoms are just constant. I just slept 12 hours and still feel on edge and just hypersensitive to everything. I was wondering if this has ever just been such a constant state for anyone like this? It literally is killing me. I am having trouble eating...etc. Even when I sleep it just comes back up. I am trying to get home because I am alone up here.. But its a 11 hour drive...I recently got told I had asthma. I have a rescue inhaler I have yet to use because as you can imagine sometimes the symptoms are the same as anxiety. I tried to leave yesterday but panicked and hadn't slept a lot. I just took a benedryl I am hoping it would knock me out. I can't get a Dr. appointment until 2 weeks from now. So I mean if this just keeps getting bad and I can't even drive home do I go to the ER? If I can't drive do I call 911? Has anyone ever done this? I almost would feel odd going to the ER but I also realize its bad. To say I am overwhelmed and scared is a understatement. And advice or comments are appreciated.

Do you have a family doctor or pdoc that you see?
I have constant anxiety like you and I am on special anxiety meRAB now. But I am in the middle of a medication change because the meRAB I was on were helping but not enough.

You may want to do some research Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) that is what I have. That is what is is starting to sound like for you.

I understand how you feel and it is awful.

You could try going to the ER and see if they could give you some Ativan or Xanax, until you can get to your family doctor. My pdoc who is an anxiety specialist just switched me from Effexor to put me on Prozac (for anxiety and depression). Certain SSRI's do show that they work best on GAD. I also take Seroquel for the agitation and anxiety and Buspar for the anxiety.

I would not wait much longer to be seen by someone though.:)
