Never danced before....help?

Now I've asked this question a few weeks ago already in another question, but I'm doing the simplified version this time (I'm asking it again cause I didn't get the results I needed).
So I'm a 20 year old male about to enter college...I've had a fairly sheltered life and I've never danced before...I'm not sure I know how.
Any tips or suggestions on popular clubs, music, forms of dance...anything?
(For local clubs I live in Marysville, Washington, USA).
Come on people I'm serious here!!!
Obviously you don't know me, what if I said I was dying would you help me then?!!!

I was a pretty shy person that would not have learned to dance on my own. so the way I did was to hang out with friends that did. Maybe take a reggeton or salsa class in college, those moves will help you dance anything. seriously.
