Hello everyone,
I am so glad for this board. I can only come into the den a couple of times a day because of pain and sitting, but this is one of the 1st sites I check. To give a little update. I am a 57 year old female. I've been off work for three weeks due to my fracturing my T12 at work. I've been wearing a brace the Dr. ordered for a week now. I have gotten allot worse the past few days with major pain in the right part of my back. My family has to help me get out of a chair to walk a short distance. Anyway, I was trying to get another position at my job before all this happened that I really wanted. I wasn't able to go to my interview this past week, but they are going to reschedule the apt. when I get a Dr. release. My question is this. Should I plead with my Dr. to get him to put me on light duty, so I can at least go in for the interview? This back injury came at the worse time in my life and it sucks. I'm also taking pain meRAB every 4 hours (Lortab), because I wouldn't be able to walk at all if I didn't. Being it's a government job I don't know if I will be able to take my meRAB there, even if I was on light duty.
Also, I've been using heat allot on my back, should I use ice too?
