Neurological testing because he's a late walker?

Pedi said at his 15 month well check that she would recommend neurological testing (to see if there's any muscular concerns) at 18 months if he still isn't walking. (of course, padded by "I am sure it's just around the corner!").. I am not too worried, because I know he'll DO IT in his own time, the thing is is that he has totally regressed. (just with walking) He starts flailing his legs when we prompt him to walk, throwing an all-out fit, he just wants to crawl super speedy! A few wks ago he would walk like 15 steps ALL on his own, and he looked so proud to do it too.. now--nada!

I ask if anyone had the neuro testing done bc of what the pedi said, and I was too dazed to actually ask her what it entails, so I was just wondering, out of curiosity.
